The National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA) is a national organization designed to articulate and promote the professional needs and goals of Black law students. As the largest student run organization in the country, NBLSA encourages the development of talented, socially conscious, lawyers of tomorrow. NBLSA is comprised of six regions, representing over 6000 members across the nation. With chapters at almost every accredited law school in the country, NBLSA looks forward to working with you at the local, regional, and national level.
The Cornell chapter actively involves itself in a wide variety of professional, academic, political, cultural, social, and educational activities. Some of those activities include participation in national and regional conventions, the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition, alumni networking, Black History Month, and the William McKnight Moot Court Competition (for undergraduates). BLSA also sponsors various social activities with other Law School and non-Law School organizations.
